Clubs & Student Leadership Groups

If you are interested in getting involved in any of these student leadership groups at SOJO, please connect with the teacher/advisor listed below.

  • Paw Pals – Megan Morrison & Lauryn Macedone
  • National Junior Honor Society – Stephanie Rich
  • Student Musicians for Change – Celeste Ercanbrack
  • Multicultural Council- Melanie Pew

If you would like to start a student club, complete the Application for Student Clubs and submit it to the main office. In order for the club to be considered, you will need a faculty advisor, at least seven student participants, and written parent permission for all students involved. Each club will have its own permission form that you obtain from the advisor. Students may not attend any club meetings without a signed parent permission form.

If you are interested in getting involved in any of these Clubs at SOJO, please connect with the teacher/advisor listed below.

  • Hooked on Science – Jeanne Bostwick & Kate Stratton
  • Jazz Band – Jerusha Johnson
  • Student Library Advisory Club (SLACrs) – Cindy Mitchell

Applications are accepted between August 15 and October 1. Non-curricular clubs must receive approval each year.

There are two types of clubs at SoJo: Curricular (related to a class at school) and Non-Curricular (we provide a space and limited supervision).

If you have any questions or concerns regarding clubs, please reach out to a member of the administration.

As students submit applications to create clubs, curricular or non-curricular, we will update the list here.
